11 Ways To Fully Redesign Your Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.
The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the Item level upgrade (https://www.google.pt/) level, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item upgrading from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and a chance to obtain a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit and an issue.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a certain level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading further items to that level will be less expensive, even if they belong to another set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests can only be used to purchase gear of a specific rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, depending on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the best equipment available and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
